LncRNA AB073614 is up-regulated in ovarian cancer (OC) (1) and glioma (2). The 5-year overall survival in OC patients with high expression of AB073614 is inferior to that with low expression in both OC and glioma patients. AB073614 is more highly expressed in high-grade than low-grade glioma tissues. Level of AB073614 is a potential prognostic marker for glioma patients. Knockdown of AB073614 inhibits the proliferation and invasion of OC cells, down-regulates the cell-growth- (PCNA), metastasis- (MMP-2, 9), epithelial-mesenchymal-transition-(EMT, β-catenin, Twist, Snail and FN1), anti-apoptosis- (Bcl-2) related factors significantly, while up-regulates the apoptosis factor (Bax) and the main factor of EMT (E-cadherin) significantly up-regulated. Moreover, p-ERK1/2 and p-AKT protein expression in OC cells are significantly reduced in the knocking-down AB073614 group.
