Cancernon-small-cell lung cancer,


LncRNA AK126698 expression is down-regulated in human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues and cell lines, and correlated with a larger tumor size and advanced pathologic stage. Functionally, AK126698 overexpression represses cell proliferation and migration and induces apoptosis in NSCLC cells. Mechanistically, AK126698 inhibits Wnt/β-catenin signaling by suppressing FZD8. In addition, AK126698 exerts its biological function by negatively regulating β-catenin, c-myc and cyclin D1, and positively regulating Axin1 and E-cadherin (1). Moreover, downregulation of AK126698 may attribute to the cisplatin resistance in NSCLC through activating Wnt signal pathway (2).
