AS-RBM15 is an antisense lncRNA of RBM15. AS-RBM15 can promote megakaryocyte (MK) terminal differentiation. The exon 1 of AS-RBM15 is essential for MK differentiation while the repeat element in this antisense RNA is dispensable. In addition, AS-RBM15 could up-regulates RBM15 protein level. Moreover, RBM15 and AS-RBM15 are both regulated by RUNX1 and RUNX1-ETO. RUNX1 activates the transcription of RBM15 and AS-RBM15, while RUNX1-ETO in reverse (1).
