Description

LncRNA BANCR expression is significantly higher in colorectal cancer (1), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (2), gastric cancer (3), hepatocellular carcinoma (4), melanoma (5), retinoblastoma (6) and papillary thyroid carcinoma (7), while is lower in lung cancer (8, 9). BANCR expression level is associated clinicopathological parameters such as lymph nodes metastasis and tumor stage and prognosis (1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 6). Functionally, BANCR regulates cancer cell proliferation, migration, metastasis, invasion, apoptosis and EMT (1, 10, 4, 8, 5, 9, 6, 7). Mechanistically, BANCR can bind to EZH2 (11). BANCR plays its function roles via regulating p38, JNK (8), NF-κB (10), ERK1/2, Raf-1, JNK (5) and cyclin D1 (11).
