LncRNA DQ786243 is significantly up-regulated in the colorectal cancer (CRC) tissues. DQ786243 can promote CRC cell proliferation, migration and invasion, and inhibit apoptosis. Mechanistically, DQ786243 promotes cell proliferation via increasing the expression of Cyclin B1, CDC2 and p-CDC2, promotes EMT via suppressing E-cadherin expression but decreasing expression of Vimentin and N-cadherin, inhibits cell apoptosis via increasing the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 but decreasing the expression of the pro-apoptotic proteins caspase-9 and caspase-3 and Bax (1).
