Description

LncRNA GAPLINC is up-regulated in gastric cancer (1) and colorectal cancer (2). Up regulated GAPLINC is associated with tumor size, lymph node status and survival time of gastric cancer patients, and predicts poor prognosis of colorectal cancer. GAPLINC promotes proliferation and invasion of these two cancer cells. In gastric cancer, GAPLINC regulates cell invasion by controlling CD44 expression via competing for miR211-3p (1), while in colorectal cancer, GAPLINC regulates cell invasion through binding to PSF and NONO (2).
