LncRNA DREH is down-regulated by hepatitis B virus X protein (HBx) that is significantly down-regulated in the livers of HBx transgenic mice. Human ortholog RNA of Dreh (hDREH) is frequently down-regulated in HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues in comparison with the adjacent noncancerous hepatic tissues, and its decrement significantly correlates with poor survival of HCC patients. Besides, DREH can reverse the high-migration phenotype of Hepa1-6 cells by affecting the protein vimentin (1).
