Description

LncRNA HOST2 is up-regulated in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Functionally, HOST2 promotes EOC cell migration, invasion and proliferation, while has no significant effect on the rate of cell apoptosis. HOST2 is a molecular sponge for let-7b and is repressed by let-7b. Moreover, HOST2 enhances the endogenous expression of metastasis-promoting genes that are targeted by let-7b (1).
