|name||long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 974|
LINC00974 is up-regulated with positively correlation with KRT19 (an lncRNA beyond the Flank10kb class with protein) in hepatic carcinoma (HCC). Both LINC00974 and KRT19 expression are significantly correlated with decreased tumor differentiation grade, increased tumor size, and metastasis. LINC00974 promotes cell proliferation and invasion. Besides, LINC00974 induces an inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis. Mechanistically, LINC00974 affects KRT19 expression by acting as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) to interact with miR-642. In addition, NOTCH and TGF-β signal pathways are promoted by the upregulation of KRT19 induced by LINC00974 (1).
