Description

LncRNA NEAT1 is an oncogene and it is higher in glioma (1), laryngeal squamous cell cancer (2), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (3), lung cancer (4), gastric cancer (5), hepatic carcinoma (6), colorectal cancer (7), bladder cancer (8) and ovarian cancer (9). NEAT1 expression level is associated with clinicopathological parameters such as differentiation, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage prognosis (7, 10, 11, 4, 3). NEAT1 regulates cancer cell proliferation, migration, metastasis, invasion, apoptosis and EMT (8, 1, 3, 10). Mechanistically, NEAT1 can bind to miR-449b-5p (1), hsa-miR-377-3p (12), miR‐124‐3p and HuR (9). Furthermore, NEAT1 negatively regulates CDK6 (2), Zo-1, E-cadherin (10) and positively regulates cyclin D1, E2F3, CDK4 (12), vimentin, N-cadherin (10), miR-107 (2).
