SChLAP1

Gene basic information

symbol SCHLAP1
name SWI/SNF complex antagonist associated with prostate cancer 1 (non-protein coding)
location 2q31.3
alias_symbol SChLAP1|PCAT11
alias_name Second Chromosome Locus Associated with Prostate 1|prostate cancer associated transcript 11
Tissuebladder,prostate,
Cancerbladder cancer,prostate cancer,

Description

LncRNA SChLAP1 is higher in bladder cancer (1) and prostate cancer (2). SChLAP1 regulates cancer cell proliferation, migration, metastasis, invasion and apoptosis (1). Mechanistically, SChLAP1 can bind to SWI/SNF chromatin-modifying complex (2) and negatively regulates SNF5 (2).
