Description

LncRNA TUG1 is higher in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (1), gastric cancer (2), hepatocellular carcinoma (3), osteosarcoma (4), colorectal cancer (5) and bladder cancer (6), and lower in glioma (7) andnon-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (8). TUG1 expression level is associated with clinicopathological parameters such as invasion, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, prognosis etc. (1, 2, 3, 8, 4). TUG1 regulates cancer cell proliferation, migration, metastasis, invasion, apoptosis and EMT (6, 5). Mechanistically, TUG1 can bind to SP1(3) and PRC2 (8). Moreover, TUG1 negatively regulates E-cadherin (5), miR-144 (2), Bcl-2 (7), KLF2 (3) and positively regulates N-cadherin, vimentin (5), c-Met (2), caspase-3, caspase-9 (7).
