Description

LncRNA UCA1 is higher in lung cancer (1), breast cancer (2), gastric cancer (3), hepatocellular carcinoma (4), colorectal cancer (5), melanoma (6), osteosarcoma (7), ovarian cancer (8), bladder cancer (9), renal cell carcinoma (10), while has dual roles in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (11, 12). UCA1 expression level is associated with clinicopathological parameters such as differentiation, tumor size, invasion depth, TNM stage, prognosis etc. (11, 3, 13, 1, 7). UCA1 regulates cancer cell proliferation, migration, metastasis, invasion, apoptosis and EMT (9, 2, 5, 11, 3, 4, 7, 10). Mechanistically, UCA1 can bind to Ets-2 (14), C/EBPα (15),BRG1(16),hnRNPI (17) and miRNAs (18, 19, 2, 4, 6). Moreover, UCA1 regulates cell-cycle-related factors (cyclin D1,p27) (17,20) and EMT-related factors (ZEB1, ZEB2, E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Vimentin, Snail, β-catenin) (21, 20, 20).
