Gene basic information

Cancerbreast cancer,

LncRNA Z38 is identified as a protein-coding sequence (isoform a) of the CLDND1 mRNAs, which is highly expressed in breast cancer. Moreover, inhibiting Z38 expression by gene silencing greatly suppresses breast cancer cell proliferation and tumorigenesis, and treatment with Z38 siRNAs significantly induces cell apoptosis and inhibits tumor growth (1).
